Applications are now open for the SynBio4ALL Practical Training in Plant Synthetic Biology

This hands-on training is only for participants who successfully completed the online SynBio4ALL Plant Synthetic Biology Course and are based in Kampala or within commuting distance of Makerere University.

Training Focus

• Whole plant genome extraction
• DNA quality assessment
• Genome sequencing workflows using Bitter Leaf (Gymnanthemum amygdalinum)

• Date: 10th–11th August 2026
• Location: Department of Plant Sciences, Microbiology and Biotechnology, Makerere University
• Spots: 20 participants only — first come, first served after review
