Featured Partner
Partnership with EBRC & EBRC-SPA
We are proud to be an official partner of the Engineering Biology Research Consortium (EBRC), a premier non-profit organization dedicated to advancing engineering biology to address societal challenges, expand knowledge, and promote responsible innovation. Through this partnership, SynBio4ALL collaborates closely with the Students and Postdocs Association (EBRC-SPA), a dynamic community of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers working in synthetic biology across top research institutions in the United States.
How EBRC-SPA Supports SynBio4ALL
Course Development & Delivery
Volunteers co-design and co-teach modules in synthetic biology, biotechnology, and bioinformatics, bringing global expertise to African classrooms. Instructors support both live sessions and pre-recorded content for our open-source programs.
Mentorship & Research Guidance
EBRC-SPA members mentor African students in project ideation, experimental design, coding, and data analysis, providing world-class scientific guidance.
Curriculum Enhancement
With firsthand experience in leading labs, volunteers help improve materials and suggest the latest tools, protocols, and learning approaches tailored to resource-limited environments.
Capacity Building & Networking
Volunteers connect students to academic, internship, and research opportunities beyond their local ecosystems, bridging them to the global synthetic biology community.
Shared Vision
Our collaboration with EBRC and EBRC-SPA is built on a shared vision: To make synthetic biology more inclusive, equitable, and globally representative. By combining SynBio4ALL’s grassroots, Africa-centered approach with EBRC’s scientific leadership and deep network of researchers, we enable a new generation of African innovators to access cutting-edge knowledge, mentorship, and tools.
Join Our Global Network
We are always looking to expand our collaborative network of research institutions, student associations, biotech startups, and nonprofits. If your organization shares our mission of democratizing synthetic biology and empowering underrepresented communities, we’d love to connect.
